This section is here for the church body to get to know each other and connect in small group ministries. This week we’ve interviewed a member of Coram Deo that you all know and whose food you love, Mary Jo Lange. This is her story.
Mary Jo was raised on a small farm in Iowa in a family of four sisters and three brothers. From a young age she learned to cook and sew, which has helped her throughout her life, especially in marriage. She was raised in a Christian home, but never really established a relationship with Jesus Christ until she was married for a year, and about to graduate college. Due to her son Dawson’s allergies she moved to Reno in 1978. As a career she has been a wonderful mother and wife, one of the most challenging jobs there is. Her hobbies are golf, sewing, quilting and her grandchildren. Her spiritual gift is service, which pairs well with her domestic skills and devotion to her family. A favorite quote and theme in her life states, “the joy is in the service,” which she finds to be quite true! Mary Jo would be interested in starting a small group teaching young women the wonderful domestic traits she has acquired throughout her life. If you are interested let her know or stay tuned for more info on that small group in the future.
