We were few, but we were mighty.
A small cohort of Coram Deo-ites gave away a few hundred flower seed packets to our neighbors around Double Diamond Elementary. It was nice to walk in the warm weather and sunshine. Nice for everyone except maybe Julie who got plenty of sun earlier that day.
unexpected connecting
This was meant to be more of a blessing blitz. We were just going to leave the seed packets on doors, but there were several people out in the sun doing yard work. We were able to hand them some flower seeds face to face. We let them know we were out giving to our community. People seemed genuinely grateful for this simple gift.
Dave had someone open the door unexpectedly when he was trying leave a packet of seeds. The man questioned Dave, who said we were just trying to do something nice for our neighbors. This neighbor warmed up and thanked us.
group of girls got plenty of seeds
Jacque and Susan approached a group of girls playing in the water in a driveway. They chattered with delight when we offered them their choice of seeds. They asked if they were free and we told them yes, absolutely free. We made sure they got enough for any brother or sisters that weren’t with them.
