Recap: Gospel Mission Dinner
We served a big spaghetti dinner to over 200 men at the Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission. A couple of the cooks don’t even go to Coram Deo. They had heard we serve the community and just wanted to help.
We saw the tent city as we drove up. You may have heard about the tent city near the shelter. There was an unusually high number of men at the drop-in shelter that night. Susan Balkenbush, who organized the service project, said that the men just kept coming and coming. She also said you could tell they were very grateful.
If you’re interested in cooking and serving for the Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission, let us know. We need a few more cooks.
